Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is questionable to play in Monday night's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sprained left ankle.

Gobert missed the team's win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

It is still unknown exactly how Gobert picked up the ankle sprain after he played over 34 minutes on Friday night against the Golden State Warriors.

The 27-year-old has once again been one of the most dominant rim protectors in the game, averaging 2.1 blocks to go along with 13.3 points and 14.1 rebounds through his first 15 games.

Gobert anchors a Utah defense that ranks second in the NBA in opponents scoring average and first in defensive rating, according to Basketball-Reference.

Utah improved to 11-5 on the season after their win over the Pelicans, and they are third in the Western Conference despite ranking 22nd in offensive rating.

While Donovan Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic have thrived as primary scorers, point guard Mike Conley has had an inefficient start to his debut campaign with the Jazz. Conley is shooting just 38 percent from the field and averaging just 4.4 assists per game after posting 6.4 dimes last season.

Alternatively, Gobert is one of Utah's most efficient scorers because of his size and ability to catch lobs in the pick-and-roll.

The Jazz will hope that Gobert's injury is not serious. Although Tony Bradley scored 14 points and added nine rebounds in place of Gobert on Staurday, he would be hard-pressed to replicate Gobert's value on both ends of the court.
