The Utah Jazz are listing center Rudy Gobert as questionable to face the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

Gobert is dealing with a left ankle sprain.

The Jazz defeated the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Gobert played 34 minutes and finished with eight points and 19 rebounds in Utah's four-point win at home.

Entering Saturday, the Jazz are 10-5 on the season, which is good for fifth place in the Western Conference standings. Gobert is averaging 13.3 points, 14.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.1 blocks per game while shooting 66.1 percent from the field and 64.4 percent from the free-throw line.

With Gobert anchoring the middle, the Jazz have the best defense in the NBA at the moment. Utah is giving up only 101.2 points per night. Gobert continues to show why he's won the last two Defensive Player of the Year Awards.

The Jazz have lost to the Houston Rockets in the last two postseasons. Utah is eager to show everyone that the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Rockets aren't the only elite teams in the West this season.

So far, Utah has looked pretty good. As is the case every season, the Jazz will ultimately go as far as shooting guard Donovan Mitchell can take them, although he's got help this season in point guard Mike Conley.
