Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz came out flat as they took a visit to the Bay Area and got destroyed by Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The Jazz have been on a rough patch these past few weeks, and their effort on Sunday against the Warriors was unacceptable, especially on the defensive end if you ask their two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

“Steph is Steph, but some of these other guys got way too much easy stuff. We could have done a much better job guarding,” the Jazz All-Star said, via Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune). “We’ve just got to play much better defense as a team. Teams are going at us. We have to realize that if we don’t take pride on the defensive end—all of us, every single game—we don’t put ourselves in the best position to win.”

The league-leading Jazz had no answer to Curry, who dropped 32 points on 10-of-20 shooting. As Rudy Gobert pointed out, the “other guys” had an easy offensive night as well with Andrew Wiggins dropping 28 points and reserves Jordan Poole and James Wiseman adding 18 and 16, respectively.

“We all got to look into the mirror, see what we can do better individually and and make sure that fits in to what we do collectively,” he added. “For the last few games, we kind of lost our principles defensively. We’ve got to come back to who we are, come back to what we do best,,” Gobert added.

A true leader leads by example and Gobert certainly did that on Sunday. He exploded for 24 points, 28 rebounds and four blocks, but his impressive performance wasn't echoed by his team's overall effort as they've now dropped four of their last six games.
