Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is planning to improve this game this offseason, a response to his team's inability to perform at a high level in the playoffs.

Gobert said that it's time for him to elevate his game.

There is no doubt that Rudy Gobert has proven himself as one of the best rim protectors in the league. He already won the Defensive Player of the Year honors last season and is on pace to win it for the second straight year.

However, the six-year veteran's offensive game is still a work in progress. Yes, he averaged 15.9 points on 66 percent shooting from the field this season, but most of his points usually come from alley-oops or pick-and-roll passes.

If Rudy Gobert wants to become a better offensive player, he will need to work on his arsenal in the painted area. A more consistent hook shot will be a good place to start, then he can work on a dependable mid-range jumper. If he can do even more and become a threat beyond the arc, opposing teams will find it more difficult to guard him.

In addition, if Gobert can transform into a two-way player, he might become an All-Star next season.

Rudy Gobert hasn't reached his prime yet, and if it's true that he has been limiting himself all along, expect to see a different version of him next season.

We'll just have to wait and see. The Jazz hope they will see a new and substantially developed version of a high-level player who can still reach more levels of improvement.
