The Utah Jazz will get the week off as they await their first-round opponents for this year's NBA Playoffs. Rudy Gobert and the rest of the Jazz will be intently watching the play-in bouts this week as they wait to see who they get to face in the opening round.

Whichever team that ends up being, Gobert is adamant that the Jazz will be up for the challenge:

“Those games are gonna be fun to watch,” Gobert said, via Ryan Miller of KSL.com. “I'm excited to watch those games. Whoever we face, we know that it's gonna be a long journey, and we're gonna be ready.”

The Jazz ended the regular season with a league-best 52-20 record. They own the first seed in the West and are set to face the eighth seed in the conference.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors are slated to battle on Wednesday, with the winner securing the seventh seed. The loser of that game will face the winner of Tuesday's matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs. Whoever comes out on top in that Thursday night game will become the eighth seed and earn the right to face Utah in the first round.

Right now, Gobert and the Jazz are facing the prospect of battling one of four possible teams in the opening round. This could make their preparations tougher than usual, but as the former two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year indicated, they'll be more than ready for the challenge ahead.
