Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is called ‘The Stifle Tower” for a reason, and he won’t let any shot at him get through … even on Twitter.

Much has already been said about Gobert’s game. Although he is undeniably one of the most valuable big men in the league with elite defense, most critics still consider him a “one-way player” due to his limited offensive arsenal.

However, after a fan posted on Twitter a video highlight of the Frenchman dishing out assists for the Jazz, Gobert didn’t waste the chance to dismiss the criticisms with a sarcastic and not-so-subtle jab to his doubters, suggesting that his play is more than what most made it out to be.

To be fair, Gobert averaged just a little over one assist per game in his four seasons with the Jazz – he averaged 1.2 assists last campaign. Nonetheless, the 2016-17 NBA Defensive Player of the Year finalist has also improved every year, particularly on the offense end where he jumped to 14.0 points a game from 9.1 points in the 2015-16 season.

Gobert will have another year to prove his critics wrong, and with Gordon Hayward out of the picture, he has all the opportunity to lead Utah and show that he’s capable of carrying them to contention.
