Following Game 3's 104-101 defeat against the Houston Rockets, the Utah Jazz are now down 3-0 in this first-round series matchup.

In hindsight, there are a number of things the Jazz could have done differently in order to have avoided the seemingly impossible circumstance they are in right now, but specific area in which they have practically shot themselves in the foot in is with their three-point shooting.

In the first three games of the series, the Jazz have shot only 25.5 percent from distance, a far cry from their 35.6 shooting clip over the regular season.

Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles are two of the team's top three-point marksmen. In the Houston series, they have shot 29.6 percent and 23.5 percent, respectively. On the season, they were shooting 36.2 and 39.1 from distance.

Among other things, it has been a combination of poor spacing, the inability to move the ball around efficiently, and of course, a lot of bad luck, which has caused Utah's slump from three thus far. Unfortunately, it's now a bit too late for them to turn things around, with the Rockets just one win away from securing a second-round playoff appearance.

It is still mathematically possible for the Jazz to come out on top of this series, but statistically speaking, it is very close to impossible. No other team has gone on to win a series after trailing 3-0, so Utah will need a miracle at this point.
