After the Utah Jazz traded big man Derrick Favors to OKC, Utah certainly made everyone know that they are prioritizing veteran point guard Mike Conley. The Jazz also sent a first-round pick just to dump Favors' salary to create cap space.

It is reported that the Jazz are offering a hefty three-year contract worth $75 million, per Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer:

Mike Conley also seems unlikely to leave Utah after the Jazz unloaded Derrick Favors to the Thunder in an effort to reduce Utah's tax bill. The number being speculated for Conley's next contract is three years, $75 million, sources said.

Conley was one of the main reasons why the Jazz finished last season as the NBA's best team with a record of 52-20. Conley also made his first All-Star appearance as he averaged 16.2 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 threes, and 1.4 steals in 51 games.

The Utah Jazz eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the NBA Playoffs but lost Conley in the process. The Jazz won the first two games in the next round against the Clippers but proceeded to lose the next four.

We saw how crucial Conley was for the Jazz as his presence was sorely missed when he went down with a hamstring injury during the playoffs.

Conley’s playmaking and ball-handling skills could have taken some pressure off of Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell. Conley missed five games during the second round of the Playoffs against the Clippers. He returned for Game 6, but he managed only five points on 1-of-8 shooting and had six turnovers in 26 minutes.
