Utah Jazz shooting guard Rodney Hood might have outlived his welcome with the team after several showings of inconsistency, but the unsteady lefty swingman is reportedly in the crosshairs of the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Hood, who is slated to hit restricted free agency this summer could be swapped for Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic, a big man sniper the Pistons have also taken a look at as this deadline approaches.

The 25-year-old wing has had his moments throughout his tenure with the team, dropping a few 30-point games in his wake, but putting up disappointing numbers as well. While the potential is there, Hood's three-plus years with the Jazz have been mired with inconsistencies and wasted opportunities.

General manager Dennis Lindsey put his faith in Hood becoming the next go-to scorer after Gordon Hayward's departure, but it only took a few games for rookie Donovan Mitchell to grab that chance by the horns and gain the keys to the starting shooting guard spot.

Hood has posted career-highs in scoring as well as 3-point and free-throw percentage this season, but they have come without much else, shooting a mere 41.3 percent from the floor and lacking in rebounding or playmaking — a major deterrent in his game.

According to recent reports, the Bulls have also shown interest in Jazz forward Derrick Favors, which could potentially make for a bundle deal with another rebuilding team looking to shuffle the pieces.
