Rudy Gobert has not communicated with his teammates or any other members of the Utah Jazz since contracting the coronavirus. A recent report noted that Gobert hasn't only refrained from speaking to fellow teammate Donovan Mitchell, but the franchise overall.

Via ESPN's Porter Larsen:

“It's a challenging. It's a challenging issue because those guys are not communicative right now. We're a month out and those guys have not spoke[n],” said Jazz reporter Tony Jones of The Athletic when discussing the rift between Gobert and his teammate.

The Jazz have reached out to Donovan, they've reached out to Rudy. Rudy is not only been non-communicative with Donovan, he's been non-communicative in large part with the Jazz.”

Jones, along with Sam Amick and Shams Charania, detailed the fallout of a controversial halt to the 2019-20 NBA season, including what the Jazz have done since the season was put at a standstill.

The article pointed to Mitchell being “reluctant” to mend his relationship with Gobert, one that “doesn't appear salvageable.”

According to this latest report, this has to do with Gobert taking his social distancing to extreme measures, cutting off all communication with the team during the past month since he became the first player to test positive for the coronavirus.

The Jazz has tried to explain to Mitchell and Gobert that there is no way to see who is at fault. While Mitchell was the second to test positive for COVID-19, there is no way to conclusively say who contracted the virus first and how it was spread.

Gobert had been reportedly irresponsible handling himself around his teammates, something that greatly bothered Mitchell and his teammates.
