Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert put up his most dominant game of the season, netting his first 20-20 game of the year with a 23-point, 22-rebound performance against the LA Clippers on the road. Yet it didn't take long for his teammate Derrick Favors to not let him be great, urging him to stop stealing all his rebounds:

The 7-foot-1 Rudy Gobert is a giant human, but he had yet to muster a 20-plus rebound effort this season until snatching a career-high 25 boards in his previous game against the Detroit Pistons, putting rebounding leader Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin to shame in a 100-94 win.

The Stifle Tower is fifth in the league, averaging 13.0 rebounds per game, but has ratcheted up his prowess in the new year, averaging 15.2 boards in January while having notched six straight double-doubles.

Gobert's rebounds come mostly from his spider-like wingspan and incredible athleticism — yet when he boxes out and carves space with his body, the misses just seem to magnetize his way, allowing him to dominate the glass.

Favors' jokes are in good humor, as the Jazz have now won five straight games and unseated the Los Angeles Lakers for the last spot in the Western Conference playoffs, a see-saw battle that has them separated by only half a game coming into the weekend.
