Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has been a fan favorite for some time now. In another class act, Mitchell asked a kid wearing his high school jersey to rebound for him during his warmup drills. It was indeed a memorable moment for the young kid:

Donovan Mitchell, a New York native, played for Brewster Academy in New Hampshire during his high school years. The University of Louisville saw his skills while playing for Brewster and recruited him for his college career.

Mitchell has been well-loved by fans for the numerous times he has extended help for the community. The kid, Sam Bell, is actually an avid fan of the Slam Dunk champ. His father, Brian, shared a story on how Sam got hold of Mitchell's high school uniform.

Via Rob Bradford of WEEI Sports Radio Network:

“We go up to Lake Winnipesaukee on vacation so we’re always in Wolfeboro. We see Brewster Academy and we had no idea it was like a basketball powerhouse,” Sam's father, Brian, said. “He’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, Donovan Mitchell went there!’ So I had a Donovan Mitchell jersey made for him in September.”

Mitchell and the Jazz went on to win that game, sweeping their head-to-head regular-season series with the Boston Celtics. Coming off a much-maligned game that saw him put up 35 shots and zero assists, Mitchell racked up 28 points, six assists and three steals for the Jazz's eighth win.

For the season, Donovan Mitchell is averaging 21.7 points, 4.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 34.0 minutes per game.
