After Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz admitted that he was ‘anxious' to head out of the place he called home for more than a decade.

Per Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune, Conley seemingly didn't want to head back to Memphis.

“I was anxious to get back to Salt Lake after being in Memphis. I was like, ‘I need to get out of here; I need to get back home.”

Conley played his first 12 years in the league in Memphis. As the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Conley quickly became one of the key pillars of the franchise. Some analysts believe that he's one of the most underrated guards in the league. He led the team to several playoff appearances and outside of basketball, Conley became a beloved figure in the community.

Over the summer, Conley was traded to the Jazz. As expected, fans sent their thank yous and messages of gratitude to the 3× NBA Sportsmanship Awardee. And in his first game back in Memphis after being traded, fans showed him some love — the same type of love that they gave him when he was still donning the Grizzlies jersey. From the looks of it, this will be the scene every time Conley heads back to Memphis.
