Have you ever had a day that went so bad that you wanted others to suffer, too? Well, Utah Jazz shooting guard Rodney Hood obviously had one. During Wednesday’s road game against the Washington Wizards, Hood was thrown out of the game in the third quarter after picking up his second technical foul of the night.

While walking towards the dugout, Hood seemingly did not like that someone was filming him so he did the only thing that he thought would make the situation even worse – he slapped the phone out of the poor fan’s hand.

Here’s hoping that the phone was not damaged or that it was not an item the fan just recently bought. Nobody wants a new phone getting scratches.

Despite Hood’s ejection, the Jazz managed to pull off a 107-104 win, effectively ending their three-game skid. Hood did not have a good game before his unceremonious exit. He shot just 3-for-12 from the field for seven points. He also went 1-for-5 from the three-point range. If anything, he did get six rebounds and a pair of steals. It was definitely a subpar performance from Hood, who is averaging 16.98 points per game so far this season.

Still, it’s just not right for Hood to smack anyone’s hand out of disgust. Now in his fourth season in the league, Hood should have been mature enough to know not to treat a fan like that.

If you now hate Hood for what he did, maybe this video of him getting viciously dunked on by Paul George would make you feel better.

No word yet if Rodney Hood will get a call from commissioner’s Adam Silver’s phone.
