The Golden State Warriors find themselves in a third straight NBA Finals facing the Cleveland Cavaliers in as many years looking to earn their second NBA title over that span.

However, Jeff Van Gundy, who is a current ESPN/ABC commentator and former NBA head coach, can easily envision the current team making it to this stage of the playoffs many more times in the foreseeable future, according to The Score.

“I see nothing preventing them from going to eight to 10 straight Finals,” the ESPN/ABC broadcaster said in a conference call on Tuesday. “The combination of offense and defense, and the talent they've been able to amass … they have their youth, they have their health. It'll be a massive upset if they're not there each and every year.”

Gundy is quite confident with his prediction especially after Golden State steamrolled through the Western Conference holding a 12-0 record with three consecutive sweeps of the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, and San Antonio Spurs in convincing fashion.

In fact, they have become the first team in league history to reach the NBA Finals holding that undefeated mark. The Warriors are also the first professional sports team in the Bay Area to earn three straight championship berths since the Oakland Athletics did so from 1988 to 1990.

Golden State has constructed a powerhouse team built around four All-Star players, who are among the best players in the league at their respective position. They are all in the prime of their careers in their late 20s with some highly productive seasons still ahead of them.

Although eight or even  10 straight NBA Finals appearances is quite an incredible feat, it's not out of the realm of possibility if the front office is able to keep their current core group together and they also remain relatively healthy over the stretch.
