In his first season with the Brooklyn Nets, things didn't exactly pan out the way Jeremy Lin had initially hoped for due to dealing with injuries while the team floundered to finish with the worst record in the league.

During a recent interview with a Chinese website named JD.com, Lin stated that several of his former teammates had texted him last year about joining him in Brooklyn.

This admission from Lin promptly brings up the question of which teammates got in contact with him about possibly coming to the Nets. However, there is no clue on the identity of these players. Other than that, they are likely under contract for at least next season.

If in fact Lin's words are true, the Brooklyn bosses must have done something right to become attractive enough for players to want to play for the Nets despite the losing seasons. There isn't much to build around aside from Lin and Brook Lopez. With their top first-round picks over the next couple of seasons in the Boston Celtics' possession, the Nets can now look at other avenues in order to upgrade the talent on their roster.

Regardless, Brooklyn clearly needs a lot of help and trying to acquire some of Lin's former teammates may be what the team needs to get back on track. At least, they really want to be part of the team culture.
