After playing with the New York Knicks in 2011-2012, Jeremy Lin is now back in the “Big Apple,” but with the Nets instead. He declined to pick up his player option with the Charlotte Hornets and has since signed a three-year, $36 million contract with Brooklyn.

He comes in to the team as it's starting point guard. The Nets also signed former number one pick Anthony Bennett and Luis Scola, among others. Aside from the NYC, he will also be reunited with Kenny Atkinson, who has helped in the development of Lin's game in the past.

In a report by The Associated Press, Lin had this to say about joining his new team:

“That's a huge thing for me because in free agency I kind of said I want to see how great I can become, I've played a lot of different roles, I've sacrificed for a lot of teams I've been on in the past. I've taken smaller roles to try to help the team succeed. Now I have that chance to take a much bigger role and be a much bigger part.”

Despite already making a number of moves, Nets general manager Sean Marks said it is still possible that their work in free agency isn't complete:

“I don't know that we're ever done, We'll obviously listen and see what else is out there. We'll continue to scout and scour and see what other teams are doing, other leagues around the world are doing, how the Olympics are going.”

Lin is arguably one of Brooklyn's bigger signings this year, and they are hopeful he can bring back the Linsanity Fever in New York.
