New York Jets first-round pick Quinnen Williams hasn't reported to camp but that doesn't seem to be bothering head coach Adam Gase. Williams hasn't signed his rookie deal yet, and Gase knows this is all just a part of the draft process and he will be with the team at some point.

“It's part of the draft process,” Gase said via NFL.com. “When he's ready, he's ready; when they're ready to get it done whenever that happens, it happens and we'll coach the guys that are here.”

According to Tom Pelissero, the big holdout between Williams and the Jets involves how much of a signing bonus he will get. They are about $100,000 off right now.

Gase knows this is what happens with players in the top five after they are drafted and it's all a part of the business.

“This is the norm,” he said. “This happens when you get top-five picks. It takes time to go through it sometimes. We'll be all right.”

This is a big deal right now, but when it's all said and done, it will probably be forgotten down the road. Even if he misses a few practices, as long as Williams comes in and has the success that he has been talked up having, everything should be okay and people will soon forget in the Big Apple.

Gase joked that as long as Williams shows up by the time the playoffs start, everything will be okay.

“When he gets here, he gets here,” the coach added.
