The New York Jets and head coach Adam Gase are trying to adapt to the new-look NFL offseason, most of which is taking place on a virtual basis. As a result, Gase recently gave reporters a sneak peek into what his virtual offseason program looks like and will look like moving forward as the month of May now looms large.

“It’s a unique way of doing things, but I think it’s going to be beneficial for us,” Gase told reporters during a conference call this week, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.

A virtual offseason might just be the least of the team's problems as things continue to progress toward the summer. Of course, Gase and the Jets are currently in the midst of an offseason that could prove pivotal for both the franchise and veteran safety Jamal Adams, who is seeking a new contract to remain with “Gang Green.”

“Things will come up and we’ll have to adjust,” Gase added, via the aforementioned Cimini. “The good news is, I feel like the players are anxious to get going on something. There’s not a lot of contact with people outside of FaceTime. This is a good opportunity for guys to actually see each other on these Microsoft teams meetings that we’re having. You can see your teammates, have discussions, interact. I think guys are excited to be a part of that.”

The Jets will now look to take over atop the AFC East with former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
