The New York Jets logged another loss on Sunday, this time falling to the Miami Dolphins, 24-0. That's now six straight losses for the hapless Jets, who remain winless through Week 6 of the season. Jets head coach Adam Gase was asked to give his thoughts on his team's lack of success, and the 42-year-old had a pretty straightforward response.

Gase has been unable to find any silver lining in what has been a terrible start for his side, and he did not hold back with his assessment:

“We haven’t done anything well this year at all,” Gase said, via ESPN (h/t Michael David Smith of NBC Sports). “We just hurt ourselves so much. Last year, we trended in the right direction. We improved. . . . This year, we have to figure out a way to improve really quickly, from top to bottom, coaches, players, it doesn’t matter, everybody. We have to get things better.”

Gase refuses to point fingers here, and has expressed how he believes that their recent failures have been a complete team effort.

When asked if he believed that his job security has been placed in danger because of his team's poor performances, the Jets coach seemed unfazed:

“Nah, I’m not even thinking about it,” he said. “I have to focus on making sure our guys are ready to go when we get back in the building on Monday . . . and getting ready for this next game.”

That's a pretty confident man right there. The Jets need to be much better, though, as they try to secure their first win of the season on Monday against the Buffalo Bills.
