The New York Jets are in desperate need of a win after allowing the Miami Dolphins to secure their first victory of the 2019 NFL season in Week 9. Fortunately, head coach Adam Gase is optimistic about running back Le'Veon Bell's status against the New York Giants.

Bell has been a limited participant in practice this week while nursing a knee and ankle injury. Gase is confident that he will be good to go against the Giants in Week 10, via Manish Mehta of New York Daily News:

This is certainly an encouraging update for Bell. He had an MRI on his knee and was forced to miss practice, however, Gase's comments indicate that the results came back clean. It seems he will be able to utilize his workhorse in the battle for New York this weekend.

It is no secret that the Jets have endured their fair share of struggles on offense this season. They are currently last in the NFL in total yardage and 30th in rushing yards per game. As a result, Bell is now putting up career-low numbers while struggling to find his rhythm with this group.

Regardless, this could be the point in the season where Gase decides to put an emphasis on establishing the run game early on. Not only will it help Bell potentially get back on track but it will also take the pressure off quarterback Sam Darnold to constantly try and force plays with his arm in the passing game.
