C.J. Mosley is now going to be a member of Gang Green, as he's expected to sign a massive five-year, $85 million deal with the New York Jets:
Sources: Former #Ravens LB CJ Mosley is expected to sign with the #Jets on a massive 5-year, $85M deal worth $51M guaranteed. That’s $17M per year. It took a lot to leave Baltimore. 💰💰💰

The former Baltimore Ravens linebacker is getting paid in a big way, but it's a move that commentators don't find surprising. NFL Network analyst David Jeremiah correctly predicted that Mosley would get “monster cash” to leave Baltimore, and when you break down his $85 million salary (which includes a $51 million guarantee), it works out to about $17 million per year, which is a nice payday:
One free agency prediction: CJ Mosley is going to get MONSTER cash! In his prime, productive, high character, thin position in the draft…

This huge move comes after the Jets also added Anthony Barr to their defense:
CJ Mosley is a stud. Mosley and Barr… wow. How bout the Jets!

In a follow-up report from Ian Rapoport, Mosley reportedly made his decision overnight, so he's probably enjoying a well-deserved beauty sleep right now:

Kevin Patra of NFL.com feels that this is a good move for both the team and Mosley himself:
Mosley's deal sets a new mark for inside linebackers, and the $51 million guaranteed well outdistances the $34 million in total guarantees Panthers LB Luke Kuechly signed for in 2015. The Jets were expected to throw their cap capital weight around, and they did Tuesday, making Mosley an offer he couldn't refuse.
C.J. Mosley got his start in the college football arena when he played as a linebacker for Alabama, and he was drafted as a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens during the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
