The New York Jets made what was possibly the biggest splash in the free agent market this offseason, signing running back Le'Veon Bell to a four-year deal.

Bell did not play at all during the 2018 campaign as a result of a contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers, so many aren't sure just what to expect from the three-time Pro Bowler going into 2019.

However, ESPN is projecting Bell to be the sixth-best running back in the NFL this coming season as far as Fantasy Football is concerned, predicting that he will rush for 1,181 yards and six touchdowns while hauling in 68 receptions for 541 yards and a couple of scores.

ESPN cites Jets head coach Adam Gase's tendency to pass near the goal line as a reason for why Bell's touchdowns might be down but that the 27-year-old will still be an elite running back in fantasy leagues.

The last time we saw Bell, he was rushing for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging four yards per carry during the 2017 season. In addition, he caught 85 passes for 655 yards and a pair of scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and First-Team All-Pro honors.

Bell, who played his collegiate football at Michigan State, was originally selected by the Steelers in the second round (48th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

After a quiet rookie season, Bell erupted for 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns in 2014 while also snaring 83 balls for 854 yards and three scores.

Due to suspensions and holdouts, Bell has not played a full 16-game campaign since 2014.
