Not long ago, Frank Gore to continue his career with the New York Jets, signing a one-year deal with the team. After choosing the Jets in free agency, Gore revealed what set Adam Gase apart from other coaches in the NFL.

“Adam’s very smart,” Gore said on a virtual call with reporters Thursday, via Chris Iseman of NorthJersey.com, his first public comments since signing with the Jets. “When everybody’s on the same page, we can make something happen. That’s what I like about Adam, he’s very smart, he’s real. He’s a man of his word.”

Even though he turned 37 years old recently, Gore is still fixated on continuing his career in the NFL. Upon joining the Jets, Gore is expected to see a limited role behind Le'Veon Bell.

Nevertheless, after deciding to return for his 16th season in the NFL, Gore was considering multiple teams in free agency. But his previous experience and trust in Gase led him to reunite with him in New York.

Last season, Gore was with the Buffalo Bills, sharing touches with rookie Devin Singletary. The third all-time leading rusher finished with 599 rushing yards and two touchdowns in 2019. Prior to his one-year stint with the Bills, Gore was with the Miami Dolphins in 2018.

When Gore signed with the Dolphins two years ago, Gase was the head coach in Miami. In recent years, Gase has gotten some criticism for his lack of results as a head coach in the NFL. Despite most people's opinions on Gase, Gore appears to be a fan of the offensive-minded coach.
