Jamal Adams has made it clear that he wants to be traded by the New York Jets. And he isn't shying away from saying it on social media. While responding to a fans' Instagram comment, Adams continued to express his desire to ‘move on' from the Jets.

Since last season, Adams has been interested in negotiating a long-term extension with the Jets. However, Adams has two years remaining on his rookie contract. Therefore, New York doesn't view extending Adams as a priority at the moment.

Last month, contract talks between the Jets and the versatile safety hit an impasse. That prompted Adams to express his disappointment in the organization, telling them they've been ‘a lot of talk but no action'.

As a result, the All-Pro safety has requested a trade from the Jets. At the same time, he has given a list of eight teams he'd prefer to go to. Above all, there are reports that the former No. 6 pick wants to become one of the highest-paid defensive players in the NFL, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

If Adams is asking for upwards of $20 million annually, then it could complicate the matter. But seeing how valuable he is, there are unquestionably going to be teams that inquire about his services.

Similar to previous situations involving a player wanting to be traded, Adams and the Jets appear to be headed toward an ugly divorce. While his contract talks with New York stalled, it's evident that Adams is going to continue speaking about wanting out until he sees results.
