If the New York Jets want to upset the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, it looks like they will have to do it without two of their key defensive players. Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, safety Jamal Adams and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams are both listed as doubtful for their team's Week 15 tilt.

Adams is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of the Jets' win over the Miami Dolphins last weekend. He initially sustained the injury during New York's Week 14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the 12 games he has played this season, Adams has logged 64 tackles, 6.5 sacks, an interception, a couple of forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, six passes defended and a pair of defensive touchdowns.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the Jets with the sixth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

It didn't take long for Adams to stamp his name among the league's best defensive backs, as he made the Pro Bowl as soon as his second season after racking up 115 tackles, 3.5 sacks, a pick, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and 12 passes defended.

Adams had not missed a game in his NFL career up until last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Williams is nursing a neck issue.

The rookie has tallied 24 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery in the 11 contests he has played this season. New York chose Williams, who attended the University of Alabama, with the third overall pick in the draft last April.

The Jets are just 4-9 on the year.
