Wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been a star for the New York Jets since arriving in 2019. His status for Week 3 is not looking great, though.
The Jets are pretty banged up at the moment. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Crowder is listed as “doubtful” for their Week 3 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
#Jets coach Adam Gase told reporters that WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is doubtful Sunday vs the #Colts. One of the most banged up teams in the NFL.

Crowder has been incredible for New York. In his first year with the team in 2019, he set a new career-high in receptions with 78. Meanwhile, his 833 receiving yards and six touchdowns were both the second-highest marks of his career.
Then, in Week 1 of this year, Crowder racked up seven receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown. However, he missed Week 2 due to that hamstring problem that might make him miss Week 3 as well.
Brian Costello of the New York Post took to Twitter to point out the absurd amount of injuries that the Jets are dealing with at the moment.
It looks like the Jets will be without their top 3 WRs, starting RB, starting C and starting RT against the Colts on Sunday. #nyj

That's a really tough hill to climb right there. The Jets are seriously hurting right now, and it does not make their 0-2 start look like something they can overcome. It is also making their head coach pretty desperate.
According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, head coach Adam Gase is looking for someone with “a pulse.”
Sounds like training camp star Lawerence Cager will play this week. Adam Gase said they need anyone with “a pulse” considering the number of WR injuries they have.

That's got to be tough. Gase is on the hottest of hot seats. Everyone has been calling for him to be fired, and the on-field product certainly is not helping his case at the moment.
The Jets have looked really bad and Gase could be fired at any moment. Now he has to try and maneuver around an incredibly injured roster that was already dealing with depth problems.
Can Gase and the Jets overcome all of these issues? Or could these injuries end up being a factor in New York's continued struggles and the potential firing of the head coach?
