The New York Jets are 0-2. They barely dropped the season opener to AFC East divisional rivals the Buffalo Bills 17-16. Then quarterback Sam Darnold got mono and was ruled out for the foreseeable future.

That was followed up by the Jets getting embarrassed on Monday Night Football 23-3 to the Cleveland Browns.

It's safe to say they aren't where they want to be in terms of performance.

In an article written by Manish Mehta of NYDailyNews.com, offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum put it into words.

“It’s frustrating, but this is the NFL,” left tackle Kelvin Beachum said. “We’re in the world of suck right now.”

It's easy to understand Beachum's frustration. The Jets don't appear to have much of a direction and they're now without their quarterback (and backup quarterback after Trevor Siemian went down).

Meanwhile, Beachum has played eight seasons in the NFL. He's appeared in 93 games and started 88 of them. This is his third year with the Jets, and he's started in all possible 34 games so far. The veteran is a staple of the offense and clearly just wants to turn things around.

Sadly for Beachum and New York though, it doesn't appear to be getting any easier any time soon.

The next game on their schedule is against the New England Patriots. Then they have the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, followed by the Patriots again.

Those aren't teams you'll win against when you're in a “world of suck”.

So if the Jets want to avoid an 0-5 (or worse) start, they'll need to figure something out – and quickly.
