Le'Veon Bell is at home on Sunday, but he may receive boos anyway. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming in town to face the New York Jets, which could get awkward.

Bell notably held out from playing in 2018 for the Steelers. Instead of signing the franchise tag, he watched the NFL for 17 weeks. The rowdy Pittsburgh fan base may not take too lightly to that on Sunday.

Bell predicts the Steelers' fanbase to travel well on Sunday, as they typically do. He also thinks there will be a split fanbase in the crowd, one side that loathes him for not playing, the other that lauds him for putting on a show in every game he played for them.

“It'll probably be 50-50,” Bell said Thursday, via Rich Cimini of ESPN. “I think half will be happy to see me and still love me, and half that hates me, despises me. It is what it is. I'm going to show love, regardless. Anybody who's wearing my jersey, I'll go sign it. It's going to be fun.”

Though he won't say so, Sunday's matchup is bound to spark emotions for Bell. He says, however, that there is no resentment towards his old employer that watched him blossom into a superstar.

“No, last year was last year and two years ago was two years ago,” Bell said. “I'm over it now. I'm past it. I'm here. I'm with the New York Jets, and I'm happy.”

On the season, Le'Veon Bell has 204 rushes for 676 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 57 receptions for 404 yards and a score.
