When Le'Veon Bell signed with the New York Jets this offseason, it was known that he was looking to be a big part of the team's new-look offense. Unfortunately, the Jets were not planning for second-year franchise quarterback Sam Darnold to miss time early in the year due to mono.

Things have not gone as the Jets had hoped this year. The team is still winless and they will need to turn things around quickly if they want any chance to contend for a playoff spot.

While things aren't looking great for the Jets, Bell is willing to do whatever it takes for the team to win. He opened up about being willing to shoulder a massive workload in a quote shared by NorthJersey.com.

“Nope,” he said Thursday. “No, I play football. I just sat out a whole year. It’s like I kind of reset. All of the touches I didn’t get last year, you can double it up this year. It’s fine.”

Bell has the kind of work ethic and passion for the game to handle whatever the Jets need from him. With Darnold out, the Jets have been leaning heavily on him as a runner and receiver.

Through the first four games of the season, Bell has carried the football 56 times for 163 yards, but has not found the end zone. Bell has also caught 20 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. The biggest concern has been Bell's 2.9 yards per carry average, which is not what Bell usually is capable of recording.

All of that being said, Bell is going to continue being utilized early and often in games. Darnold should be returning in the near future, which will be a major boost and will help take pressure off of Bell.
