New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has jokes.

Speaking to the media after practice, Bell had some advice for his quarterback Sam Darnold on how to stay healthy throughout the 2020 season:

Le’Veon Bell said the key with Sam Darnold is staying healthy: “I told him no bars” lol #jets

While this more than likely is a reference to Darnold getting mono last season, it also has a relevant correlation to staying healthy currently through the Coronavirus pandemic. The NFL is instituting rules to ensure players stay healthy throughout the 2020 season, so the likelihood Darnold is going anywhere near a bar this season anyway is very unlikely considering bars and night clubs are listed on the Coronavirus rules as high-risk locations that may draw a fine or suspension if a player violates the rules.

Bell heads into his second year with the Jets after holding out the entirety of the 2018 season. Last season he rushed for 789 yards and three touchdowns. He will look to improve those numbers in his second season, and the fact he is able to joke around with his quarterback is a good sign that he is acclimating himself with the Jets nicely.

Darnold heads into his third season in the NFL after being drafted third overall by the Jets in the 2018 draft. He has had an up and down career in the NFL thus far, passing for 5,889 yards, 36 touchdowns and 28 interceptions thus far in his career. Last season he threw for 3,024 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

The Jets start off the 2020 season in Buffalo against the Bills.
