There is more dysfunction in the New York Jets locker room.

This time, though, it's not because of head coach Adam Gase.

Speaking to the media following the Jets 31-28 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, Jets safety Marcus Maye criticized defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' play-calling on the final play, which resulted in a 46-yard touchdown bomb from Derek Carr to Henry Ruggs.

While Maye noted that the team needs to execute no matter the call, the criticism is something that is not a good sign for the Jets.

The play call Maye is being critical of is deciding to blitz on 3rd and 10 despite being up by four. Falling to 0-12, New York has been having issues everywhere all season long. While most of the criticism has fallen on Gase, it looks as though there is frustration and anger at the coaching staff everywhere in the Jets locker room.

Maye mentioned that he is trying to hold the locker room together, but the players have been expressing their frustration at the play-calling more and more as the season continues.

With no sign of a change coming, the relationship between the players and coaching staff looks to be heading toward an impasse. This is both Gase and Williams' second year in New York. While many both on the team and in the media have been calling for Gase's removal, owner Woody Johnson have not made any indication that a change is coming. Right now the Jets are just waiting for the season to end to draft Trevor Lawrence.
