The New York Jets may have found their answer through what has been a trying season so far. With all their strings of bad luck, they find themselves now up 10-0 over the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter. The improvements they've obtained have come at the expense of head coach Adam Gase relinquishing his play-calling obligations.

From Brian Costello of the New York Post on the Jets:

Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains will be calling the plays instead of head coach Adam Gase, according to a source. Gase has called the plays since he got the job last year, but decided to turn things over to Loggains after the team’s dismal 0-6 start.

The Jets are 0-6 through Week 6 of action, and the chances of them walking away with a victory against the Bills, despite the strong start, may still remain unlikely. However, if the Jets are able to pull off an underdog victory against the 4-2 Bills squad, Gase's coaching abilities will definitely be called into question in the days that ensue.

There's been talk through the first few weeks of Gase handing over the play-calling duties, though the Jets front office elected to make some moves first such as the releasing of Le'Veon Bell, seeing as how he didn't fit into Gase's offensive schematics. There has also been rumblings of the moving of Sam Darnold, though he seems to be performing well so far against the Bills. Yet after suffering a blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 6, Gase and the Jets may have been formed to look at alternative options in efforts to turn the season around.
