The New York Jets have a pretty big problem at wide receiver, and much of that has to do with the shaky health of Quincy Enunwa.

In terms of talent, Enunwa may be the best wideout on the Jets' roster, a group that also includes Jamison Crowder and recent free-agent additions Breshad Perriman and Josh Doctson.

However, Enunwa is currently dealing with a career-threatening neck injury that cut his 2019 campaign short, and Jets general manager Joe Douglas said on Wednesday that Enunwa is “still going through the process” of getting a handle on it.

“We should have some more information on that hopefully soon. Obviously that’s a big question mark for us moving forward,” Douglas said, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

This is not the first time Enunwa has dealt with neck issues, as he also missed all of 2017 because of a neck injury.

As a matter of fact, since entering the NFL as a sixth-round pick of New York's back in 2014, Enunwa has played just one full 16-game campaign. That came in 2016 when the 27-year-old hauled in 58 receptions for 857 yards and four touchdowns in what has been, by far, his most productive season.

Enunwa appeared in just one contest in 2019 and has played in just 12 games in total since 2018.

The Jets also just lost Robby Anderson to the Carolina Panthers in free agency, so they have a whole lot of question marks at receiver heading into 2020.

Luckily for Gang Green, this upcoming draft class is ripe with receiving talent, but it's concerning that Sam Darnold may have to be relying heavily on rookie receivers in his pivotal third season.
