One of the first significant injuries of training camp has hit the New York Jets. Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa reportedly suffered a groin injury today.

Although it doesn't appear to be a bad injury, it'll likely hold Enunwa out of a couple of practices. But the former Nebraska Cornhusker isn't exactly an iron man, as he missed time last year, and also missed the entire 2017 season. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Enunwa miss more time than expected.

This is a significant injury for the Jets. Wide receiver was already a weak position group for Gang Green, and this doesn't help.  Enunwa is slated to start alongside Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder, but both have their fair share of issues. Anderson was arrested in Florida in January, and Crowder was hurt last year, and also suffered a minor injury during camp. Both guys are expected to be back on the field by week one, but a unit with so many question marks is never a good thing.

While New York wasn't a great team last year, they're expected to make leaps in 2019.  The offense, in particular, is expected to improve drastically. Second-year quarterback Sam Darnold has been looking good in camp. New signee Le'Veon Bell is expected to lead the backfield and will benefit from a revamped offensive line.  It seems like everything is in order for the Jets offense to succeed come week one, but a totally healthy Quincy Enunwa would sure help.
