Head coach of the New York Jets, Robert Saleh made some big promises to Jet fans.

Connor Hughes of The Athletic reported that Saleh had this to say,

“My promise to Jets fans is that this thing is going to flip. This thing is going to turn and when it does it’s going to be freaking awesome”

This is a big promise to make by Robert Saleh to Jets fans considering that they have not finished with a winning record since 2015 and have only done so once since 2011. The Jets have been one of the worst franchises in football for the past decade and a half and arguably the worst, behind the Detroit Lions. There aren't even many bright spots this season if you're a fan of the Jets. There are a lot of questions if Zach Wilson is the answer for this football team's quarterback situation. The Jets have not played good defense all season and they haven't necessarily been competitive in most of their games.

Robert Saleh is a defensive mind. He said that he is not going to take over the defense yet as he still wants to work on some schemes that the team has put together.

“They’re going to hit a groove.” He said he is there to assist, but he is not going to take over.

Hopefully, for the Jets, they can land a piece or two that they need in next year's draft and maybe try to make something happen for the first time in a very long time. Saleh is definitely an improvement over former head coach Adam Gase and the Jets are hoping that they made the right decision by bringing him in.
