Le'Veon Bell has not even been with the New York Jets for a month, but he is already making a great impression around the team.

Just ask Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, who is loving what Bell is bringing to the table:

“I love it,” Darnold said, according to David Lennon of Newsday. “I mean, what’s not to love about it? Le’Veon is a great player. He’s very instinctual too. He’s very quarterback friendly, which I’ve noticed watching his tape a little bit. Whenever Big Ben was back there, you could kind of sense that, as a quarterback, too, you sense when time runs out. You start looking for guys and Le’Veon is always really friendly and he’s always kind of right there in your vision. Or he was always in Ben’s vision. So I’m looking forward to that, just whenever I need him, just him to be that security blanket that I need to just check it down and he can get yards after the catch. So I’m really excited about it.”

New York signed Bell to a four-year deal in March, making one of the biggest splashes in free agency in the process.

Bell did not play at all in 2018 due to a contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers and actually held out through Week 1 of 2017, but eventually returned to rush for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns while hauling in 85 receptions for 655 yards and a couple of scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

The 27-year-old made three Pro Bowls and notched First-Team All-Pro honors twice during his time with the Steelers.
