Another heated altercation was figured during a team practice of an NFL team, this time with the New York Jets.

Linebacker Jordan Jenkins spurned words against guards Alex Lewis and Greg Van Roten. Quarterback Sam Darnold and running back Le'Veon Bell both stood in the middle of the dispute and acted as peacemakers for the two sides.

Jets head coach Adam Gase voiced his sentiments regarding the heat in practice:

“I do think, it kind of got to that back half of practice, it was getting a little hot, guys were a little irritated and the thing that I will say is, both sides had to go back, line back up, refocus on what they were trying to do and execute their defense and execute the offensive play,” Gase said. “You know that’s the big thing and as long as it doesn’t happen every day, every period, occasionally things go down and we have to be smart with what’s going on, but at the same time it’s just good to see our guys with fire they have.”

Gase, himself, was reported to be incapable of taking control of the locker room last season. Former Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson also voiced out his frustrations towards how things are being run within the organization shortly after he departed for Carolina. Add these to the dismal 2019 campaign that the team had as they missed the playoffs for the ninth-straight season.

The Jets will have to solve internal disputes and chemistry issues before the team turns into a total dumpster fire. If they don't, before they know it, their own selves have already become their worst enemies.
