New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is going to miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills because of a foot injury, but the rookie quarterback is taking the positives out of it and is going to take it as a learning experience.

Darnold seems to have hit the rookie wall the last three games throwing only two touchdowns and seven interceptions. The offensive line really hasn't blocked for him much and he also spent much of the last three games on his back.

“Obviously, I want to be out there with the guys. I want to go out there and play,” Darnold said via Newsday. “Hopefully if I'm able to go out there and play Sunday, I will. If not, I'm just going to treat it as another learning experience. When adversity hits, it's up to me on how to respond. That’s all I need to worry about.”

Josh McCown will get the start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills and it will probably be good to sit back and watch a game or two from the sidelines. It will give him a chance to watch a good veteran run the offense. It will also give Darnold a good chance to heal up the foot and also his body which is probably really sore from all the hits he has taken the last few weeks.

It's a bit unclear how bad the foot injury is that he suffered against the Miami Dolphins but there is no indication it will hold him out more than a game or two.
