Even though the New York Jets have yet to trade strong safety Jamal Adams, the veteran is already referring to his time in East Rutherford in the past tense. While doing so as a result of a recent social media post, the current Jets defender added an emotional message to New York free safety Marcus Maye.

It technically remains to be seen as to whether or not the Jets ultimately trade Adams away this offseason, though the former first round NFL Draft pick appears to already have ā€” at least ā€” one foot out the door as the month of July begins to close in.

The 24-year-old safety notably requested a trade out of East Rutherford over the course of the last several days, though there is still no guarantee that the Jets eventually ship him out of town as moving on from the former LSU Tigers standout will definitely require quite the haul in return. Even so, there are most certainly more than a few interested parties from around the league as Adams reportedly offered up a list of teams that he would like to play for with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaners, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks all being featured.

A two-timeĀ All-Pro selection and two-time Pro Bowler as a member of the Jets, Adams was originally selected by New York with the No. 6 overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU.
