The New York Jets have won the race to sign free-agent wide-receiver Terrelle Pryor, per ESPN. Details of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

The Jets beat out stiff competition from the Seattle Seahawks, as well as the Cleveland Browns for Pryor’s signature.

Pryor, 28, is coming off a disappointing year with the Washington Redskins last season. He caught just 20 balls for 240 yards and a touchdown. Although, he played in just nine games and was hobbled for basically the entire year after he injured his ankle in Week 2 and eventually needed to get season-ending surgery.

Prior to that down year, though, Pryor had a breakout campaign in his first season as a full-time receiver with the Browns as he caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.

The Jets will certainly be hoping Pryor rediscovers that sort of form in New York, where he will be part of an interesting receiving corps. Robby Anderson had a breakout year in 2017 with 941 yards and seven touchdowns, but his future with the team remains uncertain due to off-field issues.

Jermaine Kearse, who was acquired via trade from the Seattle Seahawks, had a strong debut season in New York with 810 yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Quincy Enunwa is also set to return after missing the entire year with a neck injury.

Nevertheless, Pryor should provide an additional weapon for the Jets’ next starting quarterback, whoever that ends up being. They’ve signed Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater this offseason, but are also expected to draft a quarterback with the No. 3 pick next month.
