New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor didn’t take part in the team’s mandatory minicamp this week. He was recently spotted still wearing a walking boot due to his surgically-repaired right ankle.

But as Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports, Pryor finally had that boot removed on Wednesday and despite head coach Todd Bowles uncertainty about his status, the wide receiver expects to be back for training camp.

“Right now I’m healthy and I’m ready to get back to form and have a dominant year,” Pryor said.

Pryor signed with the Jets this offseason on a one-year, $4.5 million deal. He’s coming off a disappointing lone season with the Washington Redskins, which was also marred due to his troublesome ankle. He ended up playing just nine games, racking up 240 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown.

It was a disappointing follow-up to his breakout campaign with the Cleveland Browns in 2016. The former quarterback was a revelation in his first run as a full-time receiver that year as he popped up with 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.

Pryor will now be looking to get back to that sort of level this season as part of a promising Jets wide receiver corps that also features Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, and Quincy Enunwa. Anderson, in particular, had a breakout year as he had 63 catches for 941 yards and seven touchdowns.

If healthy, those four can provide some interesting options for whoever wins the Jets’ starting quarterback job-Josh McCown, Sam Darnold, or Teddy Bridgewater.
