New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor recently revealed that he broke his ankle back in May. That needless admission did not go over well with his head coach, Todd Bowles, who had some strong words for the talkative wideout.

“Terrelle doesn’t need to be descriptive,” Bowles said, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “I feel that he should keep his mouth shut and leave the injuries to me. I’ve already handled it. We had a conversation.”

It’s been a rough couple of days for Pryor, who has been right in the middle of the heated scrimmages between the Jets and his former team, the Redskins. And now, he gets a tongue-lashing from his new coach, which he did deserve.

Injuries played a part in Pryor’s lone season with Washington turning into a disaster. After breaking out for 1,007 yards for the Browns in 2016, Pryor was limited to just 240 yards on 20 receptions in nine games for the Redskins.

Pryor now finds himself in a competitive situation in New York, where he will be competing with the likes of Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, and Quincy Enunwa for touches. He hasn’t exactly endeared himself with his new coach, with his unnecessary comments coupled with his unimpressive performances.

Hopefully for Pryor, he learns to keep his mouth quiet, his injury woes finally come to an end, and he gets his career back on track with the Jets.
