The 2022 NFL Draft wasn't lacking in talent at all, as several teams got quite the talented haul even in the latter part of the first round. One of them was Jermaine Johnson II, who was selected by the New York Jets as the 26th overall pick.

Some observers felt that Johnson could be drafted inside the top 15, but the Jets were fortunate to still find him on the board that late. The defensive end from Florida State is deemed to be an instant-impact prospect and at this point, the Jets need all the firepower they can get.

Apparently, Las Vegas Raiders star Chandler Jones is a fan of Johnson, and he recently took to Twitter to say that the teams who passed on the rookie stud will look back on it as a huge mistake.

Jones sure knows what it takes to become successful in the NFL. He's a two-time All-Pro First Team member, a four-time Pro Bowler, and a Super Bowl champion. And perhaps he sees that the Jets newcomer has all the tools to do so.

The 23-year-old Johnson has had quite a journey, going from junior college to the NFL. So, clearly, his work ethic won't be an issue for the Jets.

During his single season at Florida State after transferring from Georgia, Johnson had 11.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for a loss in 12 games.

He's only going to get more confident as he joins the Jets when he learns that Jones is rooting for him.
