New York Jets wide receiver ArDarius Stewart is facing a two-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Rapoport, Stewart tested positive for a diuretic or masking agent. The league has yet to officially announce or comment on the suspension.

Stewart, 24, was a third-round pick by the Jets in 2017. The Alabama product caught six passes for 82 yards and ran seven times for 27 yards in 15 games as a rookie last season. He also returned nine kicks with an average of 19.2 yards per kickoff.

Stewart’s suspension shouldn’t significantly affect the Jets, who have a host of more proven wide receivers currently ahead of Stewart on the depth chart.

Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse were by far the team’s two leading receivers last season. Anderson, in particular, had a breakout year with 63 catches for 941 yards and seven touchdowns.

Quincy Enunwa had 857 receiving yards in 2016 prior to suffering a neck injury which kept him out all of last season. And Terrelle Pryor, who was signed this offseason, is just a couple years removed from a 1,000-yard season with the Browns.

However, Stewart’s suspension could potentially put his roster spot in New York in jeopardy. The Jets just released another wide receiver and former second-round pick, Devin Smith, this week and may do the same with Stewart.
