The New York Jets have really been working the phones in the lead-up to Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET NFL trade deadline.

On Monday, they sent defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the New York Giants. On Tuesday morning, it was revealed that they had been getting calls on running back Le'Veon Bell. Then, a report surfaced that the Jets were talking with the Dallas Cowboys about safety Jamal Adams.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, New York is also fielding calls on wide receiver Robby Anderson, which is no surprise.

Through seven games this season, Anderson has logged 21 catches for 309 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets were expected by many to contend for a playoff spot this season, but thanks to injuries and underwhelming performance across the board, Gang Green has limped to a 1-6 start and is well on its way to missing the postseason for the 10th straight year.

As a result, the Jets are making many of their top players available for trade, and Anderson is one of them.

Anderson, who played his collegiate football at Temple, went undrafted but eventually landed with New York in 2016, where he played in all 16 games and caught 42 passes for 587 yards and a couple of scores.

He then had a breakout year of sorts in 2017, hauling in 63 receptions for 941 yards while reaching the end zone seven times.

The 26-year-old responded with a disappointing season in 2018, snaring 50 balls for 752 yards and six touchdowns, and this season, he is on pace to post similar numbers.

The Jets will face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
