The 2020 NFL Draft is barely a week away. With that, comes a lot of rumors. Quarterback Jordan Love out of Utah State has been a player that has seen rumors swirling around him for months, and the New York Jets could be among the teams interested in him.

He's projected as a first round selection. Where exactly though, no one seems to know. Some people believe he could find his way all the way into the top-5. While others have him dropping into the second round.

The list of teams interested in the quarterback seem to change all the time as well.

According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, the Jets are one of the teams taking a serious look at Love.

“Though he may not be considered a surefire star, Love has plenty of teams intrigued. ESPN reported the Dolphins, Saints, Patriots, Chargers, Packers and Washington all have showed interest.

I'm hearing that list far underreports the number of teams taking a hard look at him, and one of those I've heard about is the Jets.”

A lot of people might quickly point out that the Jets make very little sense. They drafted Sam Darnold just two seasons ago. And last year, he showed some serious growth.

However, you could argue the same thing for the Miami Dolphins (Josh Rosen on the roster) and especially the Washington Redskins (drafted Dwayne Haskins at 15 last season).

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers definitely need a quarterback. And the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers have superstars at the position, but aging superstars. And a project like Love could fit perfectly to fill in after a few seasons.

Could the Jets actually be seriously interested in Love? Does it have to do with them not trusting Darnold? Or just because they like Love that much?

That would certainly create a quarterback controversy in New York. We'll have to see if they actually pull the trigger in a week though.
