Peter King believes that, despite growing evidence to the contrary, the New York Jets are considered the favorite to sign Le'Veon Bell.

ESPN, too, believes that the investiture into Bell is a good one for the team, and has been so for the longest time. The Jets have expressed their interest in Bell since, at least, November, but they haven't done anything to be proactive about it to date.

But if the Jets sign Le'Veon Bell, according to ESPN, it would be one of the most uncharacteristic moves in the team's history.

With that said, being that they're a team with more cap space than nearly every other team in the NFL, they can more than afford to take him on.

From ESPN:

“The New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders are the teams most frequently linked to Bell. The Ravens have been characterized as the wild-card team for the three-time Pro Bowl running back because it would go against their track record to give Bell $14 million to $15 million per year and $35 million in guarantees. During the previous five offseasons, the only Ravens free agent to receive over $10 million per season and over $20 million guaranteed is nose tackle Brandon Williams when he re-signed with Baltimore in 2017.”

A player who got his career start in college when he played for Michigan State, Le'Veon Bell was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

After seeing how well Antonio Brown did with the Raiders, Bell thinks he can get a great deal, too.
