DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald, Antonio Brown…Robby Anderson? The New York Jets pass catcher apparently has his sights set on one individual accomplishment in particular and that is to become a top five wide receiver in the NFL.

While Anderson has certainly shines at times during his professional tenure as a member of the Jets, the up-and-coming wide out has yet to really crack the conversation in terms of the best wide receivers in the NFL — most of which that typically come up in such a conversation were previously mentioned while it isn't really much of an argument at the top right now.

Nonetheless, Anderson now has soon-to-be second-year quarterback Sam Darnold under center while the two have only encountered one season of action together thus far.

Now that the two can become more acquainted during their second offseason alongside each other, perhaps Anderson can make some progress toward his goal of become an elite NFL wide receiver.

Of course, the Jets also picked up former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell this offseason, highlighting what could ultimately become a memorable summer for the struggling AFC East franchise.

Not only did the Jets manage to add Bell to an offense that appears to be on an upswing, New York also added a variety of pieces on the defensive side of the football as well. If the Jets can string it all together ahead of the 2019-20 regular season, New York could be in store for a competitive year.

If the Jets are going to compete, however, Anderson does stand to serve as an important piece of the puzzle for “Gang Green.”
