Chicago BullsJimmy Butler and Indiana PacersPaul George share more than just All-Star appearances and an Olympic gold medal — they also share the love for the same NFL team, the Denver Broncos.

The two Team USA teammates along with Paul George Sr. were at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High watching the season opener against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.

George Sr.'s passion for the Broncos started when he played a game against John Elway back in high school, claiming that he's the only one from his group that became a big star, according to Ben Swanson of DenverBroncos.com.

Since then, he's followed Elway's career and became a fan after Elway joined the Broncos.

His son has followed his tradition from a young age and even received a football signed by the Hall of Fame quarterback prior to a playoff game against the Toronto Raptors last season.

George also dished on Butler's hopes to be a football player:

“Man, Jimmy, deep down, wants to be a football player,” said George. “That’s just Jimmy being confident, man. We actually played football quite a bit when we was out in Rio. We played on the beach, played in the gym. At one point Coach K had to throw the ball away so we would stop playing football.”
